Just finished reading Greta Thunberg’s speeches on this topic, to try to understand the deep story she is telling.
People criticize her for being alarmist, etc., for being only a child, but as she says, she is not a scientist and is merely asking leaders to listen to the overwhelming majority of scientists.
Not only is she rightly worried that today’s adults are not taking this problem seriously and thereby jeopardizing her future, leaving that burden on the shoulders of children, but also she points out that an additional burden that today’s adults put on their shoulders is to be the onea calling for action, which is what the adults should be doing instead of criticizing her for doing that job for them (us).
